Re: annual pass
Tue, October 3, 2006 - 8:06 AMI believe the after hours events ARE blacked out. I think the NO BLACK OUT days reffers to days that are normally blacked out by the regular passed (ie. summer dates, x-mas, new years,) If it's a special event I think you cannot get in.
I may be wrong though. Wait for a second opinion or call Disneyland. Good luck! I hope to get my pass around the holiday season as well!

Re: annual pass
Tue, October 3, 2006 - 9:16 AMI know for WDW, the after-hours stuff isn't included. What no black-out means is you can go any day of the year for the regular park hours. There is a seasonal pass here that blacks out the holidays, when the parks are at their busiest. But if you have the regular pass, you can still go during the holidays. We sometimes get discounted tickets for the special events, though.
Looking at Disneyland.com, under the passes, it appears to be the same. Their "deluxe" pass has holidays blacked-out, but the "premium" is good for "365 consecutive days of admission to both Disneyland® Resort Theme Parks and unlimited enjoyment of attractions (except arcades and midway games) during regular operating hours." The special nighttime events wouldn't be included in the "regular operating hours."

Re: annual pass
Thu, October 5, 2006 - 2:04 PMThat's correct. Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is a "hard-ticket" event, meaning you have to buy a separate admission, much like the special Haunted Mansion Holiday, Pirates of the Caribbean Movie Premiere, and Tower of Terror grand opening events.
Hard-ticket events are not included in any annual passes.
